Our Halloween Party

We threw a Halloween party for all of our family again this year. I thought it was fun. I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did. We played some games, had a costume contest, and ate lots of creepy food. Here are some pics of us in our costumes...

First Family Picnic

Last week, the weather was so incredibly nice, we just couldn't sit around inside all day.
So we decided to take a walk around our pond and have a little picnic on the grass. I can't believe how warm this October has been! It feels like summer still! Here are some pictures of Janson on his first picnic.

9 Weeks

Janson is almost 9 weeks old now. Time is flying by way to quickly! Janson is full of smiles now and is so much more alert. We went to Target today and he was beginning to get a little fussy. We were in the toy isle and I was trying to find something to entertain him with. I found a Cookie Monster and Elmo that talks when you shake them. Janson looked at me like I was crazy when I put Elmo in front of him, so I tried Cookie Monster. As soon as Cookie Monster started talking, Janson was nothing but smiles. He loved it! Today was really the first time I have been able to entertain him with something. It was so much fun! I bought it and he has been smiling at it all day. After I had my fun with Cookie Monster, Daddy tried to play ball with Janson. I posted a video of them playing. It was so cute! Daddy was so proud of his little boy. Rick played baseball growing up and has always been so excited to have a son to play with. Looks like Daddy has a new playmate.

Ball Player

We sat Janson up on the couch today and put a soft baseball in his lap. He was focusing on it and really trying to figure out what to do with it. He started kicking it and actually kicked it off the couch a few times. It was the moment Rick has been waiting for his entire life. He was so excited to play ball with his boy.

He Can Roll Over!

Yaaaaay! He can do it! He's a big boy now!

Country Gifts N Things

Hey Everyone! My mother-in-law and I have started an online business. We are selling seasonal and every day country/primitive decorations at lower prices than the stores! The website is up and running, but we have a lot of work to do on it still. I am waiting for a big shipment to come in with many Christmas decorations and every day wood signs. Feel free to check it out right now! I'll let you all know when we get everything else in too. Keep checking back for more info.

Unsuccessful Attempt

Janson can finally roll over pretty consistently! He did it three times last night, and then again a few times today. In this video, he is trying really hard and getting frustrated. It's cute watching him work so hard.

Talking

Janson talks a lot these days. I love the cute little noises he makes. Sorry-the video is kind of blurry. I took it with my regular camera and the video is horrible on it.

Growing So Fast

Janson is already five weeks old! I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. He has already gotten so much bigger. I don't even want to think about how big he'll be in another month. Rick and I are cherishing every second right now because we know that he will only be this small for a short time. We love being parents! Janson is starting to smile more. He still doesn't smile every time we try to make him, but it happens every so often. His smile is the cutest thing ever! We love our precious baby boy!

Janson Robert Biehl Has Arrived

Our beautiful baby boy is finally here!! Janson arrived on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 2:53 pm, weighing 6 lb. 11 oz. and measuring 20" long. WE LOVE HIM SOOOO MUCH!! It has been an amazing few days! Our journey started on Friday afternoon. I started having very mild contractions at about 2:30. They weren't painful at all yet though. I was walking, talking, eating, and laughing through them. They stayed that way all evening. At about midnight, the contractions got pretty painful. They were 8-10 minutes apart and hurt like crazy! I didn't sleep at all that night. Finally, at about 4am they lasted about a minute each and were 5 minutes apart. At 5am, it was time to go in!! We got to the hospital and by 8:00 I had my epidural! The anesthesiologist was my favorite person that morning! I was able to get a few hours of sleep, and by 2:00pm, I was ready to start pushing. I couldn't feel a thing, so it was super easy to get the little guy out! We were actually having fun while I was pushing. Between contractions, we all (including the doctor) were watching the olympics and laughing and cracking jokes. I know this probably isn't normal, but I actually enjoyed every minute of the delivery. I am so glad that I ended up with this Doctor. He's the best!!

Janson was born and it was the happiest moment of my entire life. It was the most amazing thing in the world to see the little person that grew inside me for 9 months for the first time. I can't even describe the instant love for him that I felt. Of course I started crying as soon as he was placed on my chest. He is such a beautiful little baby-perfect in every way. I am so grateful for him. I can't believe that Heavenly Father has trusted me to take care of such a precious little person. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a mother. It is already the best blessing I have ever received. I am so excited to raise Janson and share every exciting new moment with him.
Aug. 18
Janson had his first bath today. He did not like it one bit! He screamed the whole time he was wet. He looked so cute though! As soon as we dried him off, he was all better, back to his sweet mellow self.
